The film has already created a huge buzz with stories being 'leaked' about Karthik Sivakumar, popularly known as Karthi, playing an NRI pilot who falls in love with a doctor, played by Aditi, during a trip to India. A poster with the title, Kuruthi Pookkal, has been designed with a rose bud, a gun and a splash of blood and shared on the net. But a source close to the multiple National Award-winning filmmaker dismisses all these speculations as "nothing but rumours" and insists that this is definitely not the title of the film and the poster is but a random image. He insists that except for Aditi and Karthi, and A R Rahman who will compose the soundtrack for the film, nothing else has be confirmed.
Karthi's Tamil-Telugu dramedy, Thozga/Oopiri, the official remake of the 2011 French film, The Untouchables, opened on March 25 to a positive response. The original also featured Nagarjuna Akkineni and Tamannaah Bhatia.
Aditi's last release was Bejoy Nambiar's Wazir where she played Farhan Akhtar's wife. It also featured Amitabh Bachchan as a wheelchair-bound chess grandmaster.
The actress also plays a modern-day Chandramukhi in Sudhir Mishra's upcoming political thriller, Aur Devdas. She is currently in the US for an event and is expected to be back by the end of the month.
