Sanjay Gupta denies cyber crime probe against the writers of Kaabil

We had reported earlier that the cyber crime cell will now investigate actorturned-writer Sudhanshu Pandey's complaint against Siraj Ayaz Ahmed and Vijay Kumar Mishra, the writers of Hrithik Roshan-Yami Gautam-starrer-Kaabil. Director Sanjay Gupta, who is helming the project, said, “How can the cyber crime cell investigate a case of knowledge theft? Sudhanshu is resorting to cheap tricks.“

Sanjay added that he along with producer Rakesh Roshan met Satya Narayan Choudhary, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone IX in Bandra on Thursday. When asked about their meeting, he said, “We met the DCP who told us that the case will not be followed by the cyber crime cell as it doesn't come under their purview.“

Sudhanshu's complaint is registered with the Amboli Police Station. “This is a civil matter, so I believe the Amboli police will not pursue the case any further,“ said the filmmaker. He further added that the makers of the film are ready to discuss the matter with Sudhanshu and resolve it if the latter can show any proof. “If he has even one valid document which proves that the story belongs to him, we will give him his due credit and will also pay the needful remuneration,“ stated Sanjay.
