Mumbai Pune Mumbai 1 was a hilarious and a feel-good film of opposites falling in love in a day whilst arguing which city is better. Mumbai Pune Mumbai 2 rests on an interesting premise and is riddled with some great characters. The film begins on a rocking note and one feels that nothing can go wrong with this flick. The pre-wedding madness is nicely depicted and also in a very realistic manner. However, things fall in the second half and how. The film just drags endlessly. The conflict is interesting but since it’s needlessly stretched, it loses its sheen and looks unconvincing. The finale is fine and saves the film from becoming an ultimate disaster. Still, the damage is done by the long-drawn and unimaginative second half. Swapnil Joshi is a powerhouse of talent while Mukta Barve gives yet another amazing performance. Prashant Damle, Suhas Joshi, Savita Prabhune, Asawari Joshi and Vijay Kenkre do full justice to their supporting roles despite the flawed script. Big disappointment!
