Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya will be unveiling their biggest hit ever – Prem Ratan Dhan Payo– tomorrow. It marks the coming together of the actor-director jodi after 16 years and hence there’s considerable excitement. Sonam Kapoor looks elegant and her dance step in the title song has gone viral. Not just Shilpa Shetty and Sridevi, but even veteran actresses like Helen and Waheeda Rehman have done dubamash versions of it and it has added to the hype for the film. The music is another major strength; it is unlike any other film music in recent times. The sets are grand and it will be a treat to see all the grandeur on the big screen. And although the film has typical Sooraj Barjatya elements, it also promises to have action, thrill and a bit of suspense element. Possibly, that’s the reason that the team hasn’t had press shows or paid previews today.
Tomorrow is a major holiday and looking at the advance booking, it can be said that Prem Ratan Dhan Payo can emerge as the biggest opening day ever, 40 crore possibly or maybe even more. However, what after that? Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has to work and touch audiences’ hearts. God forbid, even if it doesn’t, it’ll make a mark and might still collect considerably. However, if the response is positive, there’s no stopping Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. It has a pan-India appeal and can break the records of PK and Salman’s last release, Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Here’s hoping Salman and Sooraj give us yet another landmark film with Prem Ratan Dhan Payo!
