The Martian is an outstanding film and easily one of the best Hollywood films of 2015. It has a great story and master director Ridley Scott ensures the film appeals to all sections of moviegoers. The narrative is extremely simple. Space-based films can get a bit complex but that never happens with The Martian. One is easily able to comprehend what's going on. The ending though predictable is clapworthy and makes for a thrilling watch. Matt Damon as expected steals the show and this is easily one of his most memorable performances. However, the supporting cast put their best foot forward and compliment Matt's performance. Chiwetel Ejiofor (of 12 Years A Slave fame) is quite cool. I wish Irrfan Khan had played this part but then, he had to choose either The Martian or Piku. And he was killer in Piku and hence no regrets! Jessica Chastain, Jeff Daniels, Sean Bean, Michael Peña, Donald Glover and others delivers some great performances. The 3D isn't that great and the film can be enjoyed in the 2D version as well. Don't miss it for anything!
