The filmmaker shoots down rumours of singing for his protégé in Baar Baar Dekho

The grapevine went into overdrive after someone on the sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa mentioned overhearing Karan Johar saying to Jacqueline Fernandez that he was turning singer with Baar Baar Dekho.
It sounded believable at the time. KJo is a multitasker. A director-producer, screenwriter, costume designer, television host, and an actor (DDLJ, Bombay Velvet) and columnist, singing would be another feather left to add to his cap. BBD, starring Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra, is co-produced by Karan, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
Says a source, “The songs are composed by Amaal Malik, Jasleen Royal, Arko, Bilal Saeed and Badshah. Karan, who is always involved in the music of his films, loved one of the tracks. Though it is believed that he was quite kicked about the possibility of singing it, he told the makers that he not had any official training, so he wasn’t sure whether he’d be able to pull it off.”
However, when contacted, Karan vehemently denied the rumours, laughed and added, ““Haha! It’s the funniest thing I have heard! I am tone-deaf and would never sing.”
