Udta Punjab actress Alia Bhatt, who is a regular fixture at mentor-friend Karan Johar's parties insists that one “has to be invited to a KJo bash to really know what goes on behind the closed doors...“The filmmaker, who recently returned from his break in the Queen's City and takes off to Madrid next, threw a party at his sea-facing residence in Bandra over the weekend. Sushant Singh Rajput was complimented on his new BMW bike and the apartment he has moved into after his split from fiancée Ankita Lokhande. “The party went on till early morning with Ali Fazal among the last guests leaving at 7am. Everyone was still nursing their hangovers till as late as Sunday evening. Except for Shahid Kapoor who neither ate nor drank,“ says a guest.
Kriti Sanon bemoaned the constant linkup rumours with Raabta co-star, Sushant, reiterating her social media post: “Had enough. As much as we like and respect each other, there is absolutely no truth to this.“
Saif Ali's Khan's daughter, Sara, who is a spitting image of mum, Amrita Singh, and is prepping for her Bollywood debut in a KJo production looked quite at ease.
And KJo, as always, stole the show. Everyone gushed over his brutally honest columns, the most recent being the one that takes a swipe at online trolls.
When Shah Rukh Khan who'd regaled everyone with rare anecdotes from the past and general Bollywood gossip all night prepared to leave, his car batteries gave up. But the Baadshah didn't seem to mind as that bought him some more time to chat up the revellers.

Karan Johar hosted industry friends on Saturday night apparently to introduce them to the newest member of his family — pet dog Nobu

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s Bandra home is among Bollywood’s favourite haunts for JLT parties, and Saturday night saw some of the industry biggies and young Turks heading over to his place for a jolly good time. Sources say while KJo often hosts bashes without reason, this one was to introduce his buddies to the latest addition to his family: Nobu Johar, an incredibly adorable bulldog.
Says a source, “Last week, Karan had shared a picture of Alia Bhatt with Nobu on Instagram. But he wanted to celebrate the little one’s entry in his life with some of his friends. The party went on till early hours of Sunday and as usual, Shah Rukh Khan was the last to enter.”
Sushant Singh Rajput, who wrapped up the Budapest schedule of Dinesh Vijan’s Raabta recently, arrived at the party on his fancy two-wheeler. His co-star and rumoured girlfriend Kriti Sanon was also there. So was Anil Kapoor’s son, Harshvardhan Kapoor, who is making his Bolly debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya.
Amidst rumours of trouble in paradise, two B-Town couples, Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan, and Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu dropped by to make merry with KJo and friends.
