Once again, another film about the animal kingdom has been restricted for viewing for children by the Indian censor board. The Angry Birds movie which opens in India later this month, has been granted a ‘U/A’ certificate. After The Jungle Book this is the second big Hollywood film this year set in the animal kingdom to be restricted for young viewing. Curiously The Angry Birds is an animation film. Says a source from the censor board, “We know it’s rare for animation films to not be granted a ‘U’ certificate. But we are convinced the film needs parental guidance for children. Just as much as we were convinced about The Jungle Book.”
