Esha Gupta recently posted a picture of a huge solitaire on social media and captioned it, “He asked and I said Yes” hinting that she had got engaged. Turns out it was part of a campagin for a jewellery brand that she is endorsing! But the damage was done. Filmmaker Shirish Kunder who is active on social media took a dig at the actress saying, “You can tell a lot about a woman who posts a photo of her ring instead of her fiancé to announce her engagement.”Meanwhile...
If Esha ‘faked’ her engagement news, five years ago Malaika and Arbaaz had done the same for an ad campaign — Ponds which they were then endorsing. A leading Mumbai tabloid had fallen for the gimmick and done a front page story on their separation. Unfortunately, now the same paper has been gleefully playing up the their real separation.
