R Balki has always attempted something new and quirky in all his films, even in a disappointing flick like Shamitabh. He continues this tradition with Ki & Ka, that stars Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Arjun in the film is seen as a stay at home hubby married to Kareena who plays an ambitious corporate woman. But Arjun doesn’t possess feminine traits and from the promos, he looks great and quite convincing. Kareena too seems to have shined and Arjun-Kareena’s chemistry is something to watch out for. The High Heels song has worked big time while the other songs too have gradually grown. The theatrical trailer is hilarious and novel and has caught attention.
Ki & Ka will be having a wide release, now that Rocky Handsome has failed and Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice has slightly underperformed. The Hollywood animated film Kung Fu Panda 3 is hardly a competition for Ki & Ka. However, the film has to have a good response to attract audiences. The feel of the film is quite urban and this can restrict its reach, unless the response is great. If the word of mouth is negative, Ki & Ka can struggle at the box office. However, it’s a novel idea and here’s hoping that it works well for the audiences and at the box office!
