Salman Khan has already hosted five seasons of reality show Bigg Boss and reportedly, he has agreed to don the host’s hat for the sixth time as well. However, it is being said that the actor is asking for a 30 per cent raise in his fee this time around.
Says a source, “Like every year there were speculations whether Salman will return as a host or not. However, the channel managed to convince him to be a part of the show yet again and have agreed to some of his conditions as well.” Apparently, the actor was being paid between Rs 6- 8 crore per episode for the last season and now he will get a 30 per cent hike for hosting season 10. “One of Salman’s conditions was that his fee be increased. He is one of the reasons the reality show gets a high TRP and the makers don’t want to compromise on that. Therefore, they have agreed to give him the hike. He is already the highest paid TV show host,” says another source.
In interviews last year, the actor had also revealed that he is keen to host the Indian adaptation of a show called Farm and requested the channel to work on it.
Salman and the channel’s spokesperson remained unavailable for comment.
