Hollywood movies and TV show are a huge source of inspiration for our Bolly filmmakers who are known to make ripoffs. But in the case of a English show Seed we found it’s the other way round. The comedy show seems to have been inspired by the 2012 film Vicky Donor produced by John Abraham. The film was a comedy-drama starring Ayushmann Khurrana who played a sperm donor and it’s affect on his life and marriage. Seed (2013) is a also comedy revolving around Harry, a bartender whose previous foray into sperm donation resulted in offsprings he was unaware of. The show has just started airing in India. When asked, John said he hadn’t even heard about the show, but was keen to check it out
