Over the last few weeks there has been a lot of curiosity amongst the media and fans about Preity Zinta's wedding. Everyone has been guessing when is the D-day for the actress. Reportedly, Preity tied the knot with her US-based boyfriend, Gene Goodenough, in Los Angeles on February 28. Though she hasn't formally announced or confirmed the big news, her two besties Sussanne Khan and Surily Goel posted pictures from California on Instagram, which makes us believe that Preity and Gene have probably walked down the aisle.
The couple is likely to host a grand reception in Mumbai, in the next couple of months. We contacted Preity, but till the time of going to press there was no confirmation.

After successfully keeping her relationship with American beau Gene Goodenough under wraps, Preity Zinta bucked the filmy trend by opting for a low-key wedding in LA recently

After six months of denying reports of her relationship and impending nuptials with her American beau, Gene Goodenough, Preity Zinta got married in a hush-hush ceremony in Los Angeles on February 28. "It was a traditional Hindu ceremony with a pandit conducting all the rituals, including pheras, and took place in an outdoor mandap with the glittering LA skyline as the backdrop. Preity's mother oversaw the entire arrangement," a source from the venue revealed.
The actress's groom is a management graduate from Marshall School of Business and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Finance in a US-based hydroelectric power company. The actress met him on a trip to the US, where she frequently heads to spend time with her niece and nephew. Reportedly, it was Gene who stood by her during her break-up with former flame, Ness Wadia, and the subsequent molesting incident that unravelled at the Wankhede stadium in May, 2014, for which he was also a key eye-witness when Preity lodged a police complaint.
It was the new bride's close friend and veteran actor, Kabir Bedi, who let the nuptial news slip on Twitter when he exclaimed, "Huge congrats my friend, Preity Zinta, on your marriage to Gene in Los Angeles, City of Angels. Blessings!"
Meanwhile, DJ Amara, a popular LA-based artist, who has recently found her niche in private gigs for boutique weddings, shared a picture from the venue, captioning it, "What a beautiful night to celebrate love. #Indianwedding #preityzinta #bollywood #djamara #stunningview #outdoorwedding (sic)."
Preity's filmy gal pals were in attendance too, with celebrity jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali taking off for the wedding with sister Sussanne Khan; the trio even kicked up a storm at what was presumably a pre-wedding bash last week. While Farah returned to the Bay, Sussanne stayed back for the shaadi with socialite-fashion designer friend, Surily Goel.
Upon her return, Farah too posted a shoutout to her newly married friend. "Congratulations sweets on your wedding @realpreityzinta. Lots of love and blessings all the way from India," she said. Sushmita Sen chimed in with, "CONGRATULATIONS! soooooo happy for U n Gene have a fun n blessed married life!! Love u Mrs. Goodenough mmuuaah."
A source close to Preity informed Mirror, "A big fat Rajput-style reception is being planned in Mumbai for April where Preity will introduce her husband to the film industry. Salman, Sohail and Arbaaz Khan, along with Hrithik Roshan, Bobby Deol, Abhishek Bachchan and other celebrities are on the guest list."
And while speculation on other details of the starry band, baaja, baraat are abound, one can't help but wonder, where are all the wedding pictures? A friend of the actress spills the beans, "The couple have struck up an exclusive pictures deal with a reputed publication and the proceeds will go to the NGO, Preity Zinta Foundation." Guess we'll have to make do with waiting and watching for now...

While an official confirmation from the newly weds was awaited, veteran actor Kabir Bedi spilled the beans about Preity Zinta's marriage to Los Angeles-based financial consultant Gene Goodenough through a social media post..
Kabir Bedi tweeted, "HUGE CONGRATS my friend @realpreityzinta on your marriage to Gene in Los Angeles, City of Angels. Blessings! (sic)."
Jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali, sister of Sussanne Khan, who is close to Preity, posted yesterday, "Congratulations sweets on your wedding @realpreityzinta. Lots of love and blessings all the way from India (sic)."
Sushmita Sen also tweeted, "CONGRATULATIONS @realpreityzinta… soooooo happy for U n Gene… have a fun n blessed married life!! Love u Mrs. Goodenough. Mmuuaah (sic)."
The wedding, sources claim, was officiated at Mulholland Drive, Beverly Hills.
Goodenough is associated with a US-based hydroelectric power company. Preity, a regular visitor to LA since she has family there, met him through common pals.
There had been great deal of speculation in recent weeks about Preity Zinta's marriage. Her buddy Sussanne Khan's presence in Los Angeles along with designer Surily Goel further fuelled speculation about the nuptials.
Sources close to the actress had earlier revealed to hitlist that the marriage would be an intimate affair in LA with her close friends and family flying down for the ceremony. Buzz is that it will be followed by a big, fat Rajput wedding in Mumbai at a later date with the who's who of the film industry in attendance.
