Signing ads by the dozen doesn’t necessarily mean that celebs get paid a lot. Says a source, “Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are the highest paid stars. They are expensive because they are not available on a day-rate but believe in long term associations with the brand. They don’t just sign up with a brand and shoot for four-five days. They are very clear it should be a long association and not a few-day transaction. That’s why Ranbir stopped endorsing a certain car brand three years ago as they couldn’t afford him. That same car brand has now signed John Abraham for it. Ranbir’s currently endorsing a luxury car as he’s being paid what he wants.”
