Mirror (November 17, 2015) was the first to reveal that the Aashiqui 2 lovers Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor would be reuniting for the Hindi remake of Mani Ratnam's Tamil romance O Kadhal Kanmani, stepping into Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen's shoes. Titled OK Janu, the story of a young couple in a live-in relationship in Mumbai will be directed by Shaad Ali while A R Rahman will compose the music.
Even though Aditya and Shraddha haven't done another film together in the last three years, there have been constant speculations about a brewing romance, despite the actor's claims that he is single. Aditya recently said, “It's great that people have accepted us. I think both of us are right for these roles. I am very excited to be back with Shraddha because it's a great project for both of us to come together again with.“
