The Bachchans are known for their grand celebrations during festivals like Holi and Diwali, but birthdays have always been traditional and strictly for family. Abhishek Bachchan celebrated his 40th birthday yesterday in the Maldives with parents Amitabh and Jaya, sister Shweta Nanda, wife Aishwarya and daughter Aaradhya. Everything was hush-hush and not even family friends knew the destination where the Bachchans were headed. Although almost everyone in the family is busy with their work commitments, this was planned in advance and everyone took time off. Big B completed the first schedule of Sujoy Ghosh’s Te3n in Kolkata before leaving. Abhishek’s been shooting for Housefull 3. Aishwarya took a break from her current shoot of Sarbjit.
