WELCOME BACK grossed a decent 2.50-2.75 crore nett on its eight day. The collections have not dropped much despite the new release HERO. The collections are 30-35% down from Thursday which is pretty good considering there was a big release. The film is on course for 100 crore nett business but it will be close run thing. A big 50% plus jump on Saturday will make the 100 crore nett mark a bit easier otherwise it may take 4-5 weeks to get there, if it ever gets there.
Still whether it gets 100 plus or 98 crore nett, it's pretty much the same thing and the film has done well. The weekend should finish up in the 10-12 crore nett range depending on the growth on Saturday and Sunday. A lot will also depend on how HERO does on Saturday and Sunday.
WELCOME BACK is a comedy success after a long time and barring West Bengal and Mysore it has done good business in all the circuits with the bonus being strong business overseas.
