In what is seen as a strategic alliance in the Bollywood arena, three big players have joined hands to produce an exciting and diverse array of content. Sunil Lulla, MD Eros International, Raju Chadha, Chairman, Wave Group and Parag Sanghavi of Alumbra Entertainment have signed a multi-film joint production and distribution deal.As the first step, the trio is producing two films with Abundantia Entertainment. One is Chef, starring Saif Ali Khan and the other will be helmed by Nishikant Kamat. The alliance has also green-lit the third edition of the much-acclaimed and successful franchise, Sarkar.
Happy to 'partner with like-minded players', Chadha says, “Marrying good content with box office success will be our focus and we are happy to partner with like-minded players.“ Lulla says, “We're keen to leverage the individual strengths of all partners. More importantly , the audience should look forward to some entertaining content arising from this collaboration.“
Sanghavi, who will be driving this initiative along with Rahul Mittra, CEO, Wave Cinemas, sums up, “Business thrives on synergy and I am glad that we were able to forge a wonderful consortium that will bring forward exciting and engaging cinema.“
