Salman Khan is always known to be a great mentor. And he has taken this role to a new level by launching Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty in Hero, directed by Nikhil Advani. It is the remake of the 1983 film of the same name that was directed by Subhash Ghai and featured Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Seshadri. Subhash Ghai is involved in the remake as well, as a co-producer. The songs of the film are beautiful but the film doesn’t seem that exciting. Yes, it has some great action scenes but the plotline is ordinary. The execution has to be really awesome to attract viewers in hordes. Sooraj and Athiya have worked really hard but it’s debatable whether they really have a strong fan base.
Hero has a real advantage since it’s the solo release. Welcome Back might serve as a competition but since it would have completed a week by tomorrow when Hero releases, the threat won’t be that huge. Hence, Hero has a clear 7 day run wherein it can excel if it’s well made. Opening will be average and if response is positive, it can grow at the box office.
